In our Love and Relationship Service, we had a deep and honest conversation on “Dealing With Offenses in Marriage and Relationships.”
One thing is certain offenses will come. Jesus said in Luke 17:1 that it is impossible for offenses not to come. In every relationship, whether dating or married, there will be moments of misunderstanding, hurt, disappointment, and unmet expectations.
We learned that many offenses are not caused by hatred, but by unspoken expectations, pride, poor communication, and unhealed wounds. Sometimes it is not what was done that hurts the most it is what was not said, not explained, or not resolved.
The Word reminded us in Ephesians 4:26-27 not to let anger linger and give the enemy a foothold. We also saw in Colossians 3:13 that forgiveness is not optional it is a command. Marriage is sustained not just by love, but by humility, maturity, and the willingness to forgive.
We were challenged to:
• Address issues early instead of storing resentment.
• Communicate with grace instead of harshness.
• Choose humility over ego.
• Heal from the past so we don’t bleed on the present.
• Fight for each other, not against each other.
We were reminded that love is not the absence of offense love is choosing each other again after the offense.
It was truly an awesome service.
HAVE A BLESSED AND FRUITFUL WEEK
