* Humility is one of the most beautiful virtue and greatest quality that a man can have or posses.

* It is freedom from pride and arrogance.

* Humility is recognizing that you need God 's help, knowing that you can't truely succeed in your own strength.

James 4:6 ( But he given more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace to the humble).

1peter 5:6 ( Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time). 

In the bible, Jesus gives us a good example of humility in action. Although he was the son of God, he was gentle and humble. ( Philippians 2: 5-8)

* Humility will open more doors than arrogance and pride.

 * We come nearest to the great when we are great in humility.

* Pride makes us artificial but humility makes us real.

* It was pride that changed angels inro devils. It is humility that makes man as angels.

* Humility is not thinking less of yourself, it's thinking of yourself less.

CHARACTERISTICS OF HUMILITY

- Rejoices when others are celebrated.

- Believes it doesn't have to be right all time.

- Seeks the advice of people. (In multitude of counselling, there is safety)

- Is reachable.

- Freely admits itsflaws, mistakes and failures.

- Lives to help others succeed.

- Is not easily offended.

- Has a thankful attitude. 

- Is quick to forgive and hold no grudges.

- Considers no job too small for it.

- Can be corrected without defending itself.

- Submission to your spouse.

- Believes in prayers ( 2 chronicles 7:14, if my people who are called by my name, shall humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from. Their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and I will forgive their sins and heal their land.
