Disappointment is the feeling of sadness or dissatisfaction that occurs when one’s hope or expectation and not met.
This could be in relationships, work, achievements, or events.
Dissapiontments can stem from various sources:
Rejection:-Being turned down for a job, promotion, opportunities can lead to disappointment, especially when you have high expectations.
Betrayal :-from someone we love and trusted.
Loss:-losing something or someone important to us, whether is a relationship, job or cherished possessions can envoke feelings of disappointment
The size of your Success is measured by the strength of your desire, the size of your dream, and how you handle disappointment along the way.(Roberts Kiyosaki)
Romans 8:28 And we know that in all things, God works for the good of those who love him who have been called according to his purpose.
We must be careful how we deal with that feeling, because if you remain in the state of disappointment it can turn into discouragement,despair and even depression.(Psalm 30:5)
FEW WAYS TO HANDLE DISAPPOINTED
1)Remember that God is with you (Psalm 23:4, Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil for you are with me, your rod and your staff comfort me.)
2) Give your cares to God (1 Peter 5:7 )
God cares about you, he invites you through his word to cast your cares upon him.He knows how to handle them.
3) stay optimistic:-Maintain a positive outlook and believe that things will get better . Keep striving towards your goals and remain resillient in the face of setbacks and disappointment.
4) Seek Support:-Talk to friends,family about how you are feeling.
Sharing your disappointment can provide comfort and perspective.
5) practice self compassion:-Be kind to yourself, remind yourself that everyone experiences setbacks and it’s OK to make mistakes.
6) JOY:: Always remember that joy is not absence of hardship or suffering. Rather is the presence of faith and hope in the midst of adversity. Just as the flower blooms in the midst of thorns. Our joy can flourish in the most challenging seasons of our life.
