Pride : It is selfish, think exclusively about self, pride is self centered or egocentric (everything revolves around us). Proverbs 16:18 ( pride goes before destruction and a jaunty spirit before.a fall).

Haunty : Arrogant and full of pride, having a big attitude and acting like you are better than others. Haunty person looks down o people.

Pride is a dog that bites the owner.

It was pride that changed angels into devils. (Ask the arch Angel Satan who was removed from heaven because of pride).

Pride makes us artificial while humility makes us real.

When pride is the pilot car, the escort car is usually failure.

When pride goes first, failure is inevitable no matter who is involved.

The gap between a proud man and failure is time, and it functions like a time bomb that has been set but yet to explode at the set time.

The Bible warns of the consequences of pride, proclaiming "woe to the crown of pride" (Isaiah 28:1).

INDICATORS OF PRIDE

1. Overemphasis on one's importance, leading to arrogance and a disregard for others.

2. A competitive spirit that, when unchecked, can lead to unethical behavior and conflict, emphasizing self-improvement over healthy competition.

3. Believing one has all the answers, neglecting the wisdom found in seeking counsel from others and fostering a narrow perspective.

4. Excessive pride in one's appearance and intellect.

5. Enjoying commanding others, failing to recognize the value of humility in leadership.

6. Taking credit for the work of others, boasting about achievements that are not one's own.

7. Lack of concern for others' well-being, demonstrating selfishness and indifference.

8. Resistance to submitting to one's spouse, disregarding the principles of mutual respect and partnership.

9. Seeking rewards, recognition, and positions for personal gain rather than genuine contribution.

10. Disregarding the advice of elders, failing to recognize the wisdom gained from experience.

11. Deeming certain tasks beneath one's dignity, displaying arrogance and entitlement..
