Gratitude is the attitude that determines your attitude.
Showing gratitude is one of the simplest; yet most powerful things humans can do for each other.
You can always find something to be thankful for, no matter what may be the burden of our wants.
Gratitude is pausing to notice and appreciate the things that we often take for granted , like having a shelter, food, life, friends and family.
An attitude of gratitude means making it a habit to express thankfulness and appreciation in all part of your life, on a regular basis for both the big and small things.
Thankfulness should be a way of life.
Being thankful enables us to overcome our problems, instead of being overcomed by them.
Gratitude is the best medicine, it heals your mind, your body, and your spirit and attracts more things to be grateful for.
There is always something to be thankful for.
Nothing is more honourable than a grateful heart.
1thessolonia 5 :18 ( In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. )
Ephesians 5 : 20 ( giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. )
Psalms 100 : 4 ( Enter into his gate with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.)
SOME ATTITUDE THAT WILL KILL YOUR GRATITUDE.
1. Entitlement : the moment we start to think that we deserve something is the moment we caese to feel thankful for it. Every good gift that God gives us is undeserved and should elicit joy and thanksgiving in our hearts.
2. Comparison : We are constantly comparing ourselves with other people thinking that God has done more for them. All too often, we don't pause to thank God for all the amazing. Undeserved blessings that he has showered on us.
3. Worry: Worry about life and the future hinders us from being grateful. Worry accomplishes nothing but to rob us of joy and gratitude in this present moment and to demonstrate our lack of trust in our heavenly father.
4. High expectations : When our lives revolves around high expectations, we will be disappointed. When we are humble and realize that everything we have is a gift, we are likely to be thrilled and grateful when reality exceeds our expectation.
5. Busyness : If we are so consistently busy that we have no time left to feel and express gratitude, then something is terribly wrong in our lives.
