DEALING WITH ANGER

Have you ever been ANGRY?

What happened when you were angry?

How did you respond to people around you?

Did you say things that you shouldn't have said or things you regretted?

Anger is a normal, healthy emotion but it’s unhealthy

When it flares up at all time and uncontrollable.

( Eph 4:26 Be ye angry, and sin not , let not the sun go down upon your wrath.)

 If you are patient in one moment of anger, you will escape a hundred days of sorrow.

Anger is an acid that can do more harm to the vessel in which it is stored than to anything on which it is poured.

Ecclesiastes 7:9( Be not quick in your spirit to become angry, for anger lies in the heart of fools)

The first thing you should recognise is that anger is indeed a problem because is the gateway to so many other problems.

 It is said that Anger is one letter short of "Danger" it can cause great damage not only in your life but the people around you.

CONSEQUENCES OF UNCONTROLLED ANGER

Relationship strain :: uncontrolled anger can damage relationships in marriage, family, friends, co workers.

Legal and financial problems :: Uncontrolled anger can lead to loss of life and properties which can result in legal problems.

    Health Challenges :: can cause health problems like high blood pressure ,heart diseases, headache, insomnia etc

Impact on Children:: Witnessing parental anger expressed violently can cause emotional trauma, anxiety that can affect the children at long run.

CAUSES::

HURTS - Often emotional hurts or pain, when you feel rejected, betrayed, unappreciated, unloved or treated unfairly, you will respond to anger..

FRUSTRATION:: When ever we run into unmet expectations ( about our marriages, kids job) ....e.t.c

DEALING OR STEPS TO CONTROL ANGER

1) Acknowledge your anger:: Is it wrong to be angry? NO but where we go wrong is when we allow our anger to control us instead of us controlling it.

Ephesians 4:26 (Be angry and do not sin " do not let the sun go down on your wrath)

When we try to hide it and refuse to acknowledge it, this can lead to Bitterness overtime

2) BE PATIENT ::

James 1 :19 ( know this, my beloved let every person be QUICK to LISTEN, SLOW TO SPEAKE, SLOW TO ANGER

for the anger of a man does not produce the righteousness of God

3)Ask God to help you deal it.

4) Set your will to FORGIVE:: Knowing that every human being is a potential offenders try to keep forgiveness by the side waiting.....

HAVE A BLESSED AND FRUITFUL WEEK.
