LEARN TO DELAY GRATIFICATION.

One of the greatest signs of maturity is the ability to tell yourself:

“I WANT IT, BUT I CAN WAIT.”

We live in a generation that wants everything immediately quick money, quick success, quick relationships, quick results. But anything truly valuable often requires time, discipline, sacrifice and patience.

Sometimes, God will allow you to wait not because He has forgotten you, but because He is preparing you for what you prayed for.

David was anointed king, but he still had to wait before he sat on the throne.

Joseph had a dream, but he had to go through the pit and the prison before the palace.

Abraham received a promise, but he had to wait for its manifestation.

DON’T TRADE YOUR FUTURE FOR A MOMENT OF PLEASURE.

Here are 7 things to remember:

1. LEARN TO SAY NO TO WHAT FEELS GOOD NOW.

Not every opportunity is worth taking, and not every desire deserves to be satisfied.

2. STOP COMPARING YOUR JOURNEY WITH OTHERS.

Someone else’s harvest does not mean your season has been forgotten.

3. SACRIFICE TODAY FOR A BETTER TOMORROW.

Sometimes you must give up comfort, entertainment and unnecessary spending to build the life you desire.

4. MASTER YOUR EMOTIONS.

Don’t make permanent decisions because of temporary feelings.

5. INVEST IN YOUR FUTURE.

Your time, money, knowledge and relationships should not only give you pleasure today—they should produce value tomorrow.

6. TRUST GOD’S TIMING.

Ecclesiastes 3:11 says, “He has made everything beautiful in his time.”

7. REMEMBER THAT DISCIPLINE PRODUCES RESULTS.

Galatians 6:9 reminds us not to grow weary in doing good, because in due season we will reap if we do not give up.

Sometimes the greatest thing you can do for yourself is WAIT.

Wait before you spend.

Wait before you react.

Wait before you quit.

Wait before you give up.

Wait before you settle.

YOU DON’T HAVE TO HAVE IT ALL NOW.

Build.

Learn.

Save.

Pray.

Prepare.

Stay disciplined.

THE FACT THAT IT HASN’T HAPPENED YET DOESN’T MEAN IT WON’T HAPPEN.

Some things are worth waiting for.

DELAYED GRATIFICATION IS THE ABILITY TO SACRIFICE TODAY’S PLEASURE FOR TOMORROW’S REWARD.

May God give us the wisdom and discipline to wait for what is worth having. 🙏🏽

Have a blessed and fruitful day. ❤️
